- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
 - 1 teaspoon salt
 - 1 teaspoon black pepper
 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
 - 6 cloves garlic minced
 - 1 cup chicken broth
 - 1 cup heavy cream
 - 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
 - 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped
 - Grated Parmesan cheese for garnish
 
 
Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5 to 6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
Pour in the chicken broth and scrape up browned bits from the bottom of the skillet to add flavor. Let simmer for 3 minutes.
Add the heavy cream, Italian seasoning, and onion powder. Stir and bring to a gentle simmer for 3 to 4 minutes until slightly thickened.
Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top. Let it simmer together for another 2 to 3 minutes to heat through and blend the flavors.
Garnish with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
