  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup eggnog
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, ground nutmeg, and salt until well combined.
  • In another bowl or large measuring cup, whisk eggs, eggnog, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently with a rubber spatula just until fully combined. Do not overmix.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
  • Bake for 50 to 55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Slice and serve as is or dust with powdered sugar for a festive touch.
