- 1 pound ground beef
 - 1 small yellow onion finely chopped
 - 2 cups pizza sauce
 - 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
 - 30 to 40 pepperoni slices
 - 1 bag frozen tater tots
 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
 - Salt to taste
 - Black pepper to taste
 - 2 tablespoons olive oil

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and cook the chopped onion until soft and translucent, about 3 to 4 minutes.
Add ground beef to the skillet. Break it apart with a spoon and cook until fully browned, about 6 to 8 minutes. Drain excess fat.
Season the beef with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Stir in the pizza sauce until evenly combined.
Remove skillet from heat and spread the beef mixture evenly into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the beef.
Lay the pepperoni slices evenly over the cheese layer.
Top with a single layer of frozen tater tots, arranged neatly to cover the entire surface.
Bake in preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the tater tots are crispy and the cheese underneath is bubbly.
Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy immediately.
