Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 cup hot fudge sauce plus extra for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly spray a 9x5 inch loaf pan with nonstick spray and line with parchment paper for easy removal.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until combined.
  • Add melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, cocoa powder, and vegetable oil to the bowl. Mix until a thick, smooth batter forms.
  • Pour in the hot fudge sauce and fold it in gently, leaving some swirls intact for a marbled effect.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
  • Warm an additional 2 to 3 tablespoons of hot fudge and drizzle over the top of the batter. Use a knife to gently swirl it into the top layer.
  • Bake for 50 to 55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean with a few moist crumbs attached. Do not overbake.
  • Let the bread cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then lift out using the parchment paper and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
