- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it begins to foam.
Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant and slightly golden. Stir constantly to avoid burning.
Pour in the heavy cream and add the Italian seasoning. Stir well to combine.
Reduce the heat to low and allow the cream mixture to simmer gently for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Do not boil.
Slowly add the grated Parmesan cheese in small batches, whisking continuously until melted and fully incorporated.
Continue to simmer on low heat for another 3 to 5 minutes until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency.
Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Remove from heat and serve immediately or store as directed.
