- 16 ounces cremini mushrooms
 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
 - 4 cloves garlic minced
 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
 - 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
 - 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
 - 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Clean the mushrooms by wiping with a damp paper towel or quickly rinsing and patting dry. Trim stems and slice large mushrooms in half. Small mushrooms can be left whole.
Heat the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once melted and shimmering, add the mushrooms in a single layer. Sear undisturbed for 3–4 minutes until golden brown on one side.
Stir the mushrooms and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and tender.
Lower the heat to medium. Add remaining 2 tablespoons butter and the minced garlic. Cook for 1–2 minutes, stirring constantly, until the garlic is fragrant and lightly golden.
Stir in the salt, black pepper, dried thyme, and lemon juice. Cook for another minute to combine flavors.
Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley. Serve warm.
